Great piece of equipment with quality construction. Has an inner liner within the outside bag where the sand goes. Velcro and folding secure the inner liner meanwhile a zipper and more Velcro secure the inner liner within the outside bag. Have had the 200 lb bag for 5 months now and it can withstand a good beating. Similarly being a sandbag also negates the risk of damaging the gym floor or wherever I use it. You can also fill it up a as you go through progressive overload, which I did and worked out in my favor.
Comes with a 1 year guarantee and excellent customer service.
Great alternative to atlas stones
These are tough little bags. There is an inner bag that has a velcro seal that you fold over a few times and another velcro to hold that closed. The outer bag then has a heavy zipper that seals down on the inner bag with a heavy double velcro cover. It times some time and patience to fill the bags but once the bag starts to get full just give it a shake to help compact the sand down and you will be able to get them exactly to 100lb, 150lb, etc. It's a great full body workout just to pick them up and let them drop down onto the floor, or pick them up and walk around. They are safe to drop on smooth concrete or rubber floors and won't damage them.
Are they a perfect replacement for atlas stones, no. These bags are much more forgiving on where and how you pick them up- you don't need to have your hands perfectly centered and won't roll out of your grip as easily. But they are a great alternative when you can't simply drop an atlas stone for fear of damaging your floor. Or you want to bang out 15-20 reps quickly to build strength and explosive power.
